The Centre for Digital Citizenship at the University of Leeds has two full-fee
scholarships with start date September 2008.
The CdC in the Institute of Communications Studies is co-directed by Professor
Stephen Coleman and Professor Ann Macintosh. Its research focuses on public
communication in an era of digital media, bringing together work on e-democracy,
participation and deliberation, new media and political efficacy. The Centre’s
unique task is to consolidate research in both social scientific and
technological domains, seeking to translate and integrate concepts, methods and
styles that have been traditionally isolated within disciplinary silos. Building
on the reputation of the Institute of Communications Studies as a forerunner in
the social and political study of modern communication and technology, the
Centre conducts, facilitates and promotes collaborative interdisciplinary
research.

University of Dublin, Trinity College Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering
PhD Studentship in Transport Research
Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in the Centre for Transport Research, Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin. The research position is for 3 years, commencing October 2008.
Funding is provided under the National Roads Authority Doctoral Fellowship Programme. This research will investigate the value of time used and savings in travel time using a number of methods including stated and revealed preference methods, and discrete choice modelling. The outcomes of this research will be used to calculate a value for travel time saved so that a value can be placed on the benefits derived by road users for major new road schemes.
The studentship includes a stipend of €13,000 per annum, plus college fees. Applicants should have a good honours primary degree (at least 2-1 honour) in Civil Engineering, Economics, Transport, or other relevant degree. Candidates are asked to send a full CV together the names of two referees, at

Yayasan Beasiswa Trisakti memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa/i SMA dan SMK yang baru saja lulus ujian akhir nasional untuk mendapatkan beasiswa penuh kuliah di Trisakti School of Management.
Persyaratan beasiswa tersebut adalah :
1. Nilai rata - rata 8 (delapan) di kelas XII
2. Surat keterangan berprestasi dari Kepala Sekolah asal.
3. Lulus ujian saringan masuk tertulis, interview, dan tes psikologi yang diselenggarakan oleh TSM.
4. Melampirkan fotocopy kartu keluarga dan KTP.
5. Melampirkan surat keterangan kelakuan baik dari Kepolisian setempat.
6. Tidak sedang menerima beasiswa dari sumber lain.
7. Umur tisak melebihi 19 (sembilanbelas) tahun pada saat mengajukan beasiswa.
8. Belum menikah pada saat mengajukan beasiswa.
Besar beasiswa yang diberikan maksimum selama empat tahun adalah sebesar biaya pendidikan yang diperlukan selama mahasiswa/i menempuh perkuliahan di TSM.
