OUR MISSION:
The mission of Horizon Prep is to educate the whole student within a Christian context of spiritual, social, mental and physical development. As an extension of the ministry of the Church, we exist to help students cultivate a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, to discover and encourage their gifts, and to inspire each student to realize his or her full potential in serving God in spirit and in truth.
OUR FRAMEWORK:
The framework for our Mission is founded upon what is Biblically described as the Greatest Commandment: “To love God with our Heart (spiritually), our Soul (socially), our Mind (intellectually) and our Strength (physically)” according to Mark 12:30.
OUR VISION:
Our vision is to prepare a generation of spiritually mature, academically advanced, physically equipped, and socially developed individuals for a life of opportunity and service to the glory of God.
OUR CORE VALUES:
Southern California Prep School When Jesus was asked what the greatest achievement in life was, He said; “The first of all the commandments is: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” We find this passage to be the foundation for our philosophy of education and it is an ideal template to provide a Christ centered environment of learning. As a result, the instructional basis for cultivating the whole child exists to proclaim:Christian Preschool San Diego
In addition to rigorous academic schedule here at HP, kids are surrounded in a nurturing environment filled with people who love Jesus Christ. Southern California Private Prep School This experience cannot be underestimated because although the core subjects of the learning process are essential, it is the knowledge of God’s love that is the greatest gift we could ever provide. Every component of each day will challenge the child’s abilities while meeting his or her needs. Through various learning opportunities of enrichment the child will see the value of integrating their faith into each course and subject that is taught, whether in our chapel and scripture memorization program, computer lab, foreign languages, cultural events, field trips, or SSPs (Student Service Projects).
