Radboud University Nijmegen needed a Full Professor of Theory of Molecules and Materials
The theory research programme of the Institute for Molecules and Materials is based on three themes. This multiplicity of expertises will foster the scientific impact and visibility of the ”theory of molecules and materials” programme that IMM strives for, and is reflected in the following brief descriptions: • Theoretical Chemistry: Electronic structure theory and quantum dynamics of molecules. • Electronic Structure of Materials: Physics of (complex) materials, on the basis of first-principles computational methods. • Condensed Matter Theory: Many-body physics, nonlinear dynamics and statistical physics, including phenomenology, quantum and classical molecular dynamics. The IMM announces an opening for a full professorship in the Theory of Molecules and Materials within the framework of the first two themes. Besides meeting the above mentioned requirements, the successful candidate must enthusiastically adopt a leading role in the development and teaching of a modern and inspiring teaching programme as conducted in the educational institutes MW (Molecular Sciences; the educational institute the candidate will be primarily assigned to) and WiNSt (Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy).
